The Northeast Missouri Beef Cattle Improvement Association was organized in 1972 by a group of purebred beef producers in Northeast Missouri. Their purpose was to promote good quality, performance tested breeding stock. Their first activity was to sponsor a performance tested bull sale that started in 1973 and has continued annually ever since.
In 1997, our first annual Show-Me-Select Replacement Bred Heifer sale was started and continues to be held each June and December.
We remain focused on marketing top quality performance tested bulls and high quality, easy calving replacement heifers.
The association is governed by a board of directors, elected by the producers who offer cattle in our sales and/or purchased at our sales. Click the Membership tab above to see a list of some of our members.
We are also dedicated to the development of leadership in the beef cattle industry and to continued educational opportunities for beef producers in our area.
We serve the Northeast Missouri counties of Adair, Audrain, Clark, Knox, Lewis, Lincoln, Macon, Marion, Monroe, Pike, Ralls, Schuyler, Scotland and Shelby.
